Building a quick compost bin

Composting your kitchen scraps is a great way to cut down on household waste and to generate fertile soil for your garden. You can quickly build a great compost bin using a galvanized metal can. 1. Dig a hole about half as deep as your can.
2. Drill 20-40 holes (1/4"-3/8") on the bottom and lower third of your can to allow worms to enter.
3. Plant your can in the ground and fill in the sides with dirt. You're done - you can start composting! |
